Are You Using DataLink?Jessica AdamsonTuesday, March 24, 2009(Part 1 of 2)
Since August 2005, every GradeMaster ™ 600, Advantage™ 1200 and BenchMark™ 3000 test scoring machine has shipped with a free copy of DataLink™ test scoring and data collection software.
DataLink™ is a powerful and easy-to-use application that allows educators the ability to electronically gather their test and survey data. DataLink™ has some very nice reporting options, including detailed item analysis and standards-based reports. DataLink™ also offers the ability to export data to Microsoft Excel® as well as a variety of popular gradebook programs.
Using DataLink™ can also save your school money. Many schools currently purchase item analysis forms that they run through their test scanners to print the results. DataLink™ offers two very nice item analysis reports that provide even more information than the scan form item analysis sheets that must be purchased. The Detailed Item Analysis Report in DataLink™ v. 3.5 even provides valuable statistics such as the point biserial and discrimination index for each test item.
