This particular mill generates its own power from an energy-efficient turbine that uses wood waste to create steam that generates electricity and is certified as using renewable energy for its operations. Why is Apperson converting its answer sheets to 100% recycled paper?

One of our main concerns these days is the environment, and we want to do our part to help preserve it. By using 100% recycled paper for our answer sheets, the environmental savings are significant.

Why is Apperson absorbing the additional costs to produce the 100% recycled answer sheets?

We understand that with the slowed economy and numerous frozen school budgets, a price increase for answer sheets will not be welcomed. However, we feel that a 100% recycled answer sheet is a product that is much too critical to wait until the economy and school budgets recover, therefore, we have elected to absorb all additional costs.

Is the quality of the recycled paper the same as the virgin?

The quality of the recycled paper is the same as the virgin. Before proceeding with the transition to 100% recycled paper, we underwent several long, and thorough testing phases to ensure quality of the answer sheets would not be sacrificed.

Will Apperson always have 100% recycled answer sheets from now on?

As long as the recycled paper that we purchase from our elected paper mill is available, we will produce our answer sheets on 100% recycled paper.
